California Prune Blogging Event 7.7.17

I was over the moon when California Prune invited me to my first official blogging event last Friday, It was at a big event in London so it was a really big deal to me and I was soo excited! The event took place at Kensington Olympia as part of Just V Show, Love Natural Love You and The Allergy & Free From Show.

The Blogging Event was an exclusive opportunity for bloggers to meet the CP Brand Ambassadors and nutritionists, get tips on how Prunes can support a healthy lifestyle, sample new recipes, a free goodie bag and a Q&A session with the CP Ambassador chefs.

I really loved all the invaluable tips from the chefs & watching them be silly on stage. Rosemary & Peter Sidwell are great to watch cook together, are really entertaining & informative. I loved watching Peter give great tips about his amazing bread and it was great talking with Danielle as she’s almost my age & very into health like I am. Read More

Just V Show

This weekend Just V Show was on in London from Fri 7th – 9th July. I decided to travel Photo 07-07-2017, 09 51 28down on Friday so I wouldn’t miss out on products, I could attend the California Prune blogging event and because I figured it would be the quietest day.

The journey felt very quick & if you manage to get a direct train to Clapham Junction you can get on a train from there straight to Kensington Olympia (Just over the road from the Marketing_Support_Map_Trans-Just-Vvenue). It’s open from  10am and I got there shortly after 10 to make sure I could see as much as possible and so I wouldn’t miss out on the goodie bags available.

I saw a lot of brand names that are well known to me such as Violife, Linda McCartney, Trek, Clearspring, SGAIA Mheats & Rebel Kitchen. I tried to focus more on brands that I didn’t know as I like discovering new things & so I could help bring awareness to these small brands/businesses.  Read More

FEW Afterword

Many of you may have read my blog post on FEW (Female entrepreneur week) a couple of weeks ago & hopefully at least some of you participated (I hope).

If you’re coming into this without knowing anything then allow me to summarise. Entrepreneur, author & podcast host Nadia Finer brought together 5 other stars in the entrepreneurial world to give lady entrepreneurs the right tools and training for a successful business. This was spread out over the course of 10 glorious days.

I absolutely loved FEW & thoroughly enjoyed taking part and learning everything I could from this talented bunch of women! I can’t wait to see if they continue this and am so ready for next year if they do!

Let me introduce you to the talent. They each brought something valuable & different to the table.

We got up to a lot in the 10 days. Here’s a summary of the best bits, what we learnt and who from:

There really was so much to learn & get involved in. The things I took away and that felt the most relevant to me and my situation were:

  • Using Online Courses And Membership Sites with Miranda
  • The Power Of PR  withRebecca Miller
  • Design To Stand Out withLouise

My main objective isn’t selling goods so I don’t feel that applies completely to me but I could definitely take stuff away from it still. The same with the rest of the tips and guides.

I really loved Becs Miller’s video & workbook. As I’m a blogger I feel like my whole life is PR. I mostly write, try to increase my following online and generally get myself known, which is pretty much what PR is all about. Blogging is a very competitive field so I’m looking forward to putting her tips & guidance into progress, and hopefully working with her in the future. I’ve just found out that she lives in Brighton too so it would be really great to work with her!

I was also really interested in the design video and material that Louise provided as I’m a creative person and have been trying to step up my game with logos & design etc. I’m definitely gonna be implementing some of her helpful tips to make things eye-catching & unique to help generate leads.

*If you wanted to work with any of these amazing ladies or find out more about them check them out on FB or their websites below.

Don’t let anyone dull your shine!

I haven’t been feeling so great this weekend and wanted to offer up some advice for anyone else who has ever felt angry, hurt, betrayed, disgusted.. all those lovely feels that make you feel like poo.

But listen.. all those things are horrible and you shouldn’t allow anyone to make you feel bad because you know what, you’re fucking fabulous!

So last night when I was feeling some kind of rage I just let myself be angry, hurt and all those other shitty emotions all at once. I let myself really feel for a while then I said to myself  “No! I’m done with this! He doesn’t get to make me feel like this anymore! I’m better than him & fucking better than this!” Read More

Adam Cooks Everything

I came across the channel Adam Cooks Everything on YouTube. The videos are short, easy to follow and entertaining to boot.

Now I may be a Vegan but that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate great chefs and youtube channels that aren’t vegan. But before you call me a hypocrite… Adam is not only lactose intolerant but he gives substitutes for dairy products. (VEGANS REJOICE!) He also does a gluten free recipe every week which is awesome! I know a few people who can’t eat gluten so I like that he caters to everyone. Read More

I’ve made it my mission to try all the vegan cheeses & I enjoy trying the different varieties from around the world. You don’t have to miss out on enjoying food because you’re vegan. (A common mistake) If anything I think it’s more exciting because things aren’t readily available. You have to be more imaginative with your shopping & cooking which I absolutely love.

I discovered The Vegan Kind about a year ago and just bought some “Mozzarisella”. (What they use at Zizzi) It comes in a sausage shape for easy slicing (unlike balls of regular mozzarella which are squishy and gross.) I got the regular one to try on pizza etc.. upon reflection I think the creamy one would’ve been a better choice but I’ll try all the varieties at some stage.

It comes in regular, smokey & creamy
