My love for Violife

If you follow me on social media or read my blog you probably know that I love to cook and I’m obsessed with cheese. When I attended Just V Show recently I was lucky enough to score lots of great products to review. I was really interested to work with new companies as well as those that I’m already a big fan of. I don’t write about things and say I love them because I’m getting paid money to, I genuinely  love the products and want to share that with people. I try to stay on message and only work with companies/brands that fit with my likes/interests and that of my blog.

I’ve been a fan of Violife for a few years so will happily write about them and recommend them as I think their products are great. It was lovely to see them at Just V Show and they were incredibly generous with the haul of products they gave me. I’ve made various things with them so wanted to showcase what I’ve used them for so far, what ones are my favorites and why.

Halloumi, herb slices, smoked slices, chicken slices, creamy tzatziki, parmigiana wedge, cheddar block & mozzarella slices.

I was excited to try the new Halloumi and creamy tzatziki as these are things I love and are not something I’ve come across from other brands. Most people in the Vegan community have heard of violife and you’ll find them everywhere from health food shops to supermarkets like Waitrose.

The new packaging looks so much better than the old which was white with colorful writing. I also didn’t realize that Violife are actually a Greek company.. Which I love because I love Greece and Greek food. Hoping to see a Feta on their product list soon.. as I think it would make a great addition to their already vast cheese catalogue.

Here’s what I’ve been cooking up lately with Violife

Its hard to choose favourites but the Halloumi is great and fries on a griddle pan so well, the creamy tzatziki is sooo light & creamy (its now officially my favourite soft cheese) & the mozzarella & cheddar are good all round ones to use in a variety of every day meals/recipes. Violife actually do some great recipes on their site which you can check out here>>

Violife can be found online here @ The Vegan Kind, UK supermarkets like Tesco (with the exception of Tesco Express), at most Holland & Barrett stores and at select Asda, Waitrose, Morrison’s & Sainsbury’s stores.

  1. Yeah that’s not fun.. I know how you feel. It’s the same for us and some US products. What!? I would be all over that if I could. I’m sure you have tons of other great vegan products there though.. I see people post things online.

    1. Oh do they not? I’m surprised as they’re Greek so hardly over here in the UK. Are there no online stores which sell them there. You must have some really good stuff though. You’ve got vegan Ben and Jerrys ha!

      1. They don’t! I can technically buy it online, but it’s super expensive. Like, a week’s work of groceries on one pack of cheese….I’ll keep waiting 🙂

I haven’t tried any of the Ben and Jerry’s…I know, right? But I can’t do the sugar. Maybe they’ll come out with a sugar free one soon!
